The Australian Salsa Open is the official and only entry to the World Salsa Open in Puerto Rico for Australian couples & teams and as such, competitors cannot participate in World Salsa Open Puerto Rico, or any of rounds, without having first competed and qualified in Australian Salsa Open championship.
The winning couple in the Professional couple devision or the winning Team at the Australian Salsa Open may represent Australia in the World Salsa Open in Puerto Rico. The couple holding the 1st place in the National Championship, may participate in the round of national winners in the World Salsa Open (Round 2 of the World Championship).
